Translator's Note

Everything and everyone but Gong Wei, Yuchi Xiao and Meng Yunfei is frozen, so Xu Shuangtze is speaking to them.

Translator's Note

Most likely the demonic beasts had assumed human form, which is possible if their cultivation level is high enough.

Translator's Note

Don’t forget this is Yuchi Xiao’s uncle. Ha!

Translator's Note

And this is Meng Yunfei’s Shizun. Haha!

Translator's Note

None of these are true. Essentially Gong Wei has reincarnated to find he’s become the protagonist of a whole bunch of smutty books. 😂

  1. I can’t wait to see what everyone’s reactions will be like when Gong Wei’s identity is exposed!

    Thanks for the chapter!

  2. Poor Xu Shuangtze, he just really wants to believe that Gong Wei is back…which he is, actually. The timing of all this is very interesting, and also the fact that Gong Wei was without his sword when Xu Shuangtze obviously had his with him on the ascension platform. I’d forgotten that the first chapter says Gong Wei cast an outrageously strong illusion as his last act, since it turned out that after the trees bloomed then they never bloomed again (until now of course) and I assumed it must not have been an illusion at all—is it because they’re all in an illusion now, or because the trees didn’t actually bloom then and without Gong Wei around as some kind of peach blossom (I’d forgotten those are also associated with love, fits well with the fox demon seductress vibes) spirit, they didn’t bloom at all before his return? Though Gong Wei actually seems to have a close association with all kinds of flowers, not just those…

I love that Gong Wei thinks the drunken chicken didn’t also tip Xu Shuangtze off, given how quick anyone is to pick up on how he loves his chicken. Then again, at least most people do eat chicken, while the flowers would be exceptionally hard to explain. Still, losing it every time his own name came up was Not Subtle, and I think it’s funny that Xu Shuangtze didn’t put a stop to the first story about the two of them, only the story about him and his “wife.” Which definitely Gong Wei (and everybody else) shouldn’t listen to, right. Meanwhile Gong Wei’s internal monologue drops little fun things like “Gong Wei tried to kiss him as a joke,” okay then Gong Wei. You also buy and read raunchy stories about the two of you like you can’t look away, and your greatest fear was that Xu Shuangtze, beyond killing you, would also put down your feelings as being worthless and insincere. Figuring out how Gong Wei and Xu Shuangtze actually feel about each other, and what actually happened between them, is so ??? Still, it’s fun, and I love to see the story progress

    Thank you for translating! <3

  3. XS, please use your words. No one understands you.

Thanks for the great translation ♥️

  4. I lost count with how many GW did it xDD Over 20 lol And then that bookshop keeper’s scandalised reaction to why there aren’t any novels with female disciples… erm, yeah xDD

Thx for the ch ٩( >ヮ<)۶

    • I loved the bookshop owner’s reaction too! Love the fact the guys can be labelled as hussies, but we must preserve the dignity of the girls. 😂 Poor GW – totally unaware he had such an ‘active’ love life!

  5. I wonder why these underworld peeps are not keeping records and then saying that our GW vanished.. yet he was reincarnated…

  6. Ying Kai best boi ~~

But also, Ying Kai, he probs just want to make amends for all the pain and suffering he caused to our Gong Wei baby skskks

Ngl, even rechecked if this had a tragedy tag because things are starting to really be dark…er….

  7. There’s nothing pitiful about that Xu guy, I don’t know why everyone is saying “poor guy poor guy”.

I can’t bring myself to like him.

He’s miles away from being the same as Lan Wangji, they’re so different.
