Today, I shall continue to talk about what happened yesterday.
This guy left halfway through the meal and forced me to chat with that Japanese girl, this made me extremely confused after further reflection.

However to ensure that the atmosphere didn’t become even more awkward, I toughened up and forced myself to continue chatting with her. After talking, I realised that this Japanese girl was actually a foreign exchange student studying in a university nearby and she would turn 19 this year.

The girl was quietly and peacefully studying in a classroom when he suddenly confronted her with an awkward conversation, saying that he would like to know more about her. The Japanese girl sensed that he was a bit eccentric, and instinctively wanted to reject him. Thus, she lied to him and said that she doesn’t really know how to speak Chinese and could not understand what he had said.
And then…. this is the main point! This guy literally whipped out his phone and directly translated his words into Japanese!
The girl couldn’t act like she didn’t understand anymore, and could only tell him bluntly that she already had a boyfriend. Normally, people would give up after hearing this, but this guy remained unwilling to give up and told her that he would teach her Chinese.

I was always the one helping this guy in completing his language assignments when we were schooling, it would be absurd if he could actually teach someone else!
That Japanese girl noticed that I understood her. She finally revealed a smile, and apologised sincerely for troubling me. She even wanted to split the meal’s cost with me.
I definitely couldn’t let a girl pay!
To be honest, I wanted to give this Japanese girl a hefty amount of money to compensate for the emotional distress caused by this sand sculpture’s unreasonable harassment.
Of course, I didn’t actually give her any money. Owing to the fact I had just said previously that I wasn’t close with that guy, I would have been exposed if I had given her the money. Secondly, this guy was the one who caused this mess, why must I be responsible for it? I absolutely won’t care!
Seeing that I was chatting passionately with the girl, that sand sculpture probably thought there was still some chance for him, so he returned to his seat.
I cast a meaningful glance at the girl, and hinted that she should show a fierce stance to that sand sculpture and teach him a good lesson. She hesitated at first but stood up in the end, and gave that guy a solid slap in his face. That guy was shocked briefly, he probably had been slapped stupid.
After a mere second, he flew into rage out of humiliation and raised his hand, wanting to hit that girl.
Since I was the one who egged the girl on, I couldn’t possibly watch her get beaten, so I protected her by pulling her behind me.
That guy saw this and his eyes instantly turned bloodshot with anger. He pointed his finger at me and asked me who I actually was siding with. The girl was scared and startled, she trembled slightly as she hid behind me.
The restaurant’s staff came one after another to mediate the fight and get him to calm down. I suddenly felt grateful that he had acted pretentious and chosen an exclusive Japanese restaurant, where they only served a table at a time. If this fight had been seen by others, I can’t even imagine how it would have turned out. OTZ
I didn’t want to be trending on Weibo in this fashion…
Luckily, this guy held back his impulses and didn’t actually start hitting her, giving the girl a chance to slip away.
But after this, he lied on the table alone and cried for a long time, speaking nonsense like how I am forgetting my old flame after meeting someone new, he even threatened to block me…

Anyway, the year will be ending soon and there are a ton of company matters to settle, so I really don’t have the free time to play around with this sand sculpture everyday.
