For me, the last couple of chapters of the interstellar arc got me, albeit in a different way than the other arcs did. I don’t think I cried but there was something so wistful and beautiful about some of the scenes. The ending was actually one of the happiest ones imo.
This arc is really similar to the general storyline of Scum Shou’s Survival Guide. Although, this proves that president Xie is way more ruthless than our scum shou Ye Ming. He didn’t even bat an eye or have any lingering feelings towards the scum gong xD
The two novels are by the same author and technically share a universe. I think scum gong was written first (if we go by the current dates on jjwxc).
Yess, I just read scum shou a few days ago. I know it’s the same universe, I just think that the story structure in this arc is really similar to scum shou’s (especially the first arc lol). It’s interesting to compare how Ye Ming and Xie He react to the world’s ML. While Xie He doesn’t linger emotionally on any of the scum gongs (I love that part of him), I feel like Ye Ming gives a piece of his heart to every ml in each world and he covers it up by jokes (which pisses off his system and the readers xD) and yet people dislikes Ye Ming more for some reason (づ￣ ³￣)づ

Okay, I cried, but it’s 01:54 in the morning right now… Also, I can count the tears on one hand. This arc was…. conflicting (?). First, YZ was such an a**hole, I wanted to choke him back. He also had zero trust towards MC, which is moderately infuriating. The ending with the wedding…. Well, That’s why I cried, they never married before.
Ah, right now I’m somehow really sad…. I loved someone so deeply I wished for nothing more but their purest happiness, but they killed themselves. Nothing to blame, nothing to regret, no one at fault. My poor heart made of glass 😢

This one and the second arc have a nice ending. The third arc (father-son) is my favorite but because of another case of “ML disappearing at the end”, it somehow lost some of its impact.
Anyways, I didn’t expect too much about this arc but I’ve been given a good ending. For that, I’ll continue reading.

Man i really can’t handle this chapter. I delayed it as much as I could. But every paragraph i felt like crying tears of blood. Man i still feel that XH has been very heartless this time. Nobody deserved this. YZ, this dumbass, he didn’t deserve this.

The ends of all these arcs are knife-sharp, it makes my heart bleed and my eyes tear up. Some of them directly make me cry my eyes out. I still can get over the death in the father-son arc, for me, even without the death, is the saddest arc till now 😢
Although Yi Ze was really despicable before, I somehow can relate. He just …didn’t understand. JZ’s case was the proof. There was no one who made him realized his wrong earlier. Who would analyze someone closely and try to change them for the better? They don’t have time for this laborous tasks, especially if that person (YZ) is hardheaded. Even JZ, who was annoyed until he fleed abroad would rather said nothing. No, I don’t blame anyone. It’s human nature.
