Our Sweet DaysChapter 30

Deng Xi finally showed up again come evening. When it was time for Mianmian to go to the hospital, Deng Xi mysteriously reappeared and led the way to a fancy car parked right outside the front entrance. Sun Fang followed along, an AI butler silently carrying their bags and depositing them in the back of the car while they climbed in.

”Hello, cousin,” Sun Fang greeted Deng Xi once they were both sitting comfortingly. There were two rows of seats facing each other in the back of the car, and Deng Xi had ended up riding backward, sitting opposite Mianmian.  4iKpc7

The man scowled but said, ”Hello. Thank you for coming, it means a lot to us.”

”I said I would, didn’t I?” Sun Fang rose an eyebrow and his lips twitched with amusement. It was hilarious, the way that Deng Xi reacted to him.

Chrysanthemum Garden.

Deng Xi huffed, but then deflated. He leaned back against the backrest and asked Mianmian, ”Are you comfortable? Do you need anything? Are you thirsty? I have water with me, cold water with ice.”

Mianmian snorted inelegantly, ”I’m fine, Xiao Xi. Stop worrying so much—if I need anything, I’ll tell you.” M8VaFR

”Well, just… no matter how much trouble it is, I won’t hesitate,” Deng Xi said. He sounded frustrated and pulled his hands through his hair, his eyes constantly surveying over the both of them like he thought something would happen the second he let them out of sight. Sun Fang was glad; glad that Mianmian had ended up with someone who so obviously cared about him, and glad that he seemed happy, despite the worry this pregnancy had caused him.

The car ride went well, and they made good time. They arrived at the hospital right around the predicted time and Sun Fang walked arm in arm with Mianmian up to Mianmian’s special suite that he had all to himself. Having money paid off.

While Mianmian sat down on the hospital bed and then laid out with a thoughtful expression on his face, Sun Fang sat down on one of the armchairs in the large suite and delighted at the squishiness of it. He pulled his phone out and checked out his latest messages, shooting off a quick note to Mo Cheng that they were now settling in at the hospital and everything was going fine.

That done, he browsed through some different social medias, but there was nothing really interesting happening. A trailer for a new movie had gone live while they’d been in the car. There had been an accident at a mecha factory that made the government doubt the company was following the safety regulations. The war with the Zerg was at a standstill.

But there was nothing that was personally relevant to him, and so he exited them soon enough. At this point, Mo Cheng had responded to his message with, ”When you get back, I’ll make a cake in celebration of the new baby,” and Sun Fang quickly responded with a bunch of hearts.

Putting his phone away again, he rose from the seat and sat down on the bed next to Mianmian. For being a hospital bed, it was surprisingly wide and soft. Mianmian smiled at him, ”Everything well with Mo Cheng?”

”Yep,” Sun Fang popped and gripped Mianmian’s hand tightly. ”He says he’ll make a cake when I get back. I’ll send you lots of pictures; his cakes are gorgeous. And tastes so good.”

Mianmian squeezed his hand, ”When we visit, you’ll have to show me his café.” suPRoi

”Of course,” Sun Fang said.

The fact that Mianmian sounded like it was already a done deal, that he would visit him, made his stomach twist and his chest felt like it was going to burst open. He would have to set up the guest room to have room for the baby, and make certain to have food enough for all four of them. And he could take the opportunity to show Mianmian his pottery, too.

”Have you decided on a name for the baby, yet?” he asked, feeling Mianmian leaning against his shoulder. The other omega was heavy and warm against him, and Sun Fang wished he could take a picture.

”I want Casey, Xiao Xi wants Zan or Su,” Mianmian mumbled. When Sun Fang glanced at him, he saw the other man was pouting and crossing his arms over his chest.  u0YiZl

”You could go with all of them,” Sun Fang said, trying to imagine a kid named Casey Deng, or no, Deng Xi’s family was traditional so it would be Deng Casey. Deng Su? Deng Zan? They were all pretty good names, to him.

Mianmian snorted with laughter, ”Yeah, maybe. We’ll see.”

Deng Xi returned not long after, hurrying in and sitting down on the chair opposite the bed. Mianmian held his arm out and Deng Xi grabbed his hand, the man gulping and inching closer to them. Mianmian, unfortunately, couldn’t eat for twenty-four hours prior to the surgery, but they had eaten a really big meal before they left, so he probably wasn’t hungry yet anyway.

Or could he eat? Sun Fang honestly didn’t know, he had never been in this situation before. Sun Yi had been born and raised outside of the Sun family and Sun Fang had no other siblings. From what he knew, his own birth had been normal and complication-free, too. XB5GE9

Sun Fang spent another two hours at the hospital before he retuned to Deng Xi’s mansion for the night. He intended to go to sleep early so that he could wake up at a reasonable hour and make it to the hospital well on time tomorrow. He kissed Mianmian on the cheek before he left, patted Deng Xi encouragingly on the shoulder and took a taxi back.

Ivy was waiting for him when he returned. ”Everything went well, Young Master?” Ivy asked, following Sun Fang through the mansion to the bedroom.

”Yeah,” Sun Fang said and smiled at his butler, happy that it was with him for this.
