I’m a little bit confused. Is Lin Shu’s Dao going against the ‘current’ of the Dao itself (hence going along with the current)? And rather than bullying, is his mind demon not being able to fit in / loneliness?

it is said that cultivating immortality is going against the current, breaking away from the mortal world, but lin shu doesnt want to do the effort,(stay in the steps to cultivate) he just want to go with the flow of the current (easy parts) ..he made that clear thats why the heavenly steps kicked him out.. my head is fucked i just woke up lol.. and yes his demon is not being able to fit in, not the bullying.
