It’s not nearly as bad as The Earth is Online, where the author is almost always bad at describing rules and such, and the MC follows this weird logic that sometimes doesn’t even make sense in hindsight. Or I’m an idiot.
What I don’t get here is he says he’s outside the circle of murder even though he murders yhe principal and is murdered in turn.

Can it really be Gu Liang? I don’t think so because they usually get caught and then they disappear, right? They get tried for their IRL crimes and then, poof, they’re gone. Gu Liang being one of the main 2 characters, means he isn’t gonna go poof.

Theoretically, yes, probably. Author addresses it in first few chaps bc readers were asking if deceased cards were definite. Otherwise, it would be too unfair for players to not have any fighting chance at all. Unless ofc, the system gives no fck about the fairness of the game and is more focused on dishing out punishments for sinners.
Also yeah the murderer can get away scot free if they arent found out.

So, boss Meng killed principal Zha but he was killed by neighbor Liu who was killed by school senior Feng, whose murderer is unknown. Principal Zha also hasn’t seen killing anyone, as well as the beggar who was killed by Liu Ran, whose murderer is also unknown.
So, the suspects or the ones who killed someone are: boss Meng, school senior Feng, Liu Ran and neighbor Liu.
Those who were killed are: boss Meng, principal Zha, school senior Feng, neighbor Liu and beggar.
The ones who hasn’t killed anyone are: principal Zha and beggar.
The ones whose murderer were unknown are: school senior Feng and Liu Ran.
So, the ones who could have killed school senior Feng are either principal Zha or beggar, using that bottle shard due to crime of passion. If it was principal Zha who killed her, then principal Zha would also belong to the suspects and the victims. That leaves the beggar who was killed but hasn’t seen killing anyone, and Liu Ran who killed the beggar but isn’t known if he had died. These two breaks the cycle. Liu Ran killed the beggar but the beggar still hasn’t been shown if he killed anyone.
The cycle is: school senior Feng killed neighbour Liu who killed boss Meng who killed principal Zha.
The question is: was it principal Zha who killed school senior Feng? If he did, then the cycle is complete but if he it wasn’t him, then how will the cycle be completed?
Then there’s this other one: Liu Ran killed the beggar but who did the beggar killed? And who killed Liu Ran?
Let’s go back to principal Zha. If principal Zha didn’t kill school senior Feng, then it must be him who killed Liu Ran, who killed the beggar, who is the other suspect in killing school senior Feng.
