I think our ML has hit at least 5 birds with 1 rock here… (1) allows independent verification of the miracle prescription and thus cementing their lie about his cure, (2) further protected himself and MC from being targeted by rival clans for the miracle prescription, (3) raised his reputation within the clan, (4) raised his clans reputation with the Emperor (who's definitely going to see the potential for building up future generations that he did), (5) protected the profits around the snowy ginseng pill… It's refreshing to see a character who's stated to have high IQ to be actually written smart.

    Anyhooo, translation notes:

    "Gu Zuo gave Tianheng a thumbs up in his mind" — 点赞 is totally a modern netspeak term, referring to when you click like on someone's forum post. I'd suggest "Gu Zuo gave Tianheng a mental upvote", to use the reddit term.

    "They felt that in the days to come, although their younger generations wouldn’t have the qualifications to compete for the position of Clan Head, they were still very willing." –> "…they were still very willing to let TH inherit the position." for that last part. Otherwise it makes it sound like there are people still willing to compete.

    "As for no longer having to expel the turbid gases and so on, it was only when his true qi realm reached Xiantian would he be capable of achieving this." –> "As for no longer expelling turbid gases, hopefully that will be achieved when he reaches XT realm."

    "At the same time, his strength had also doubled." –> I'd suggest "power" instead of "strength" here, just to make it clear he's not talking about physical weight-lifting capacity.

    Regarding footnote 2… Maybe "I've achieved perfect rank!" or "I've hit maximum level!" (to use a gaming term…lol).

  9. If men (and women) weren’t so tempted to cheat women wouldn’t spend so much $ on beauty products. Sure some of it is their own vanity but often it’s to keep a spouse/lover.

  10. Ah chapter 64 and they have yet to make any sort of romantic progress. Even started calling themselves brothers. I’m conceded if it’s worth to keep reading considering that in the first 50 chapters the plot was interesting enough but now it feels repeated in every chapter and the development seems to be the same some what…I’d I skip 100 chapters I feel like it’ll be all the same just with little things going on but the same pill refining, hiding, OP ML and super docile shou and a few missteps here and there. It feels a lot like slice of life. I’m kind of losing all of my excitement. Here’s to hoping the story picks up and I don’t read 100 chapters more of just the same development over and over.       • Oh, okay if it’s like that then it makes sense! I’ve just read novels where the relationship was just like this and yeah that was whole novel. But if it’s slow burn I can bare it. Even if it’s 100 chapters. I went digging and turns out this fic is really huge. Thank you!
