  1. LOL, not too sympathetic to HLXC. He basically did it all to himself. It's not like anyone else even said anything, much less did anything to him.

    Translation notes:

"Involuntarily, no one discovered the flash of disappointment" –> "Naturally, no one…"

"an opening…appeared on the top of the cage" –> In context, I think this is just "appeared on the cage" instead of "on top of".

"As for the other seven, he felt differently." –> "…they felt differently"

"After Xingcheng grew up, he truly placed high hopes on his son that he’d seize much honor and glory." –> "After growing up, XC did seize much honor and glory for him (the dad)."

Re footnote 2, that part is more like: "Wouldn't he get angered breathless if today someone got an extra bowl of rice, or tomorrow someone got an extra pill, or the day after someone got an extra slice of meat? Thinking like this, the Helian household didn't have it easy either."

  2. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA serves u right for being a petty young master! big brother will make u vomit even more blood !

  3. Pfft! Hahaha! MC’s inner monologue is so precious! wipes away tears of laughter

  4. Damn, angry to the point of vomiting BLOOD? Give this guy an anger management class, cause he about to blow his brains out (×÷×)人

  5. I’m with A’Zou on this one – how did Helian Xingcheng manage to live without imploding. Really hating this “surrogate big brother” title. This author’s style isn’t really my deal. It’s fine that it basically switched protagonists (from A’Zou to Tianheng), but the style is dry and most growth skipped.

This is shown in it being only chapter 53, yet everyone is already strong and only first step details given.

  6. I kinda pity him too. Idk why but ever since I’ve read Cannon fodder stories, I can’t help but think there could be a better way to portray to them instead of just making them seem foolish and one dimensional.

  7. Possible minor typo: 4the to last paragraph, 2nd to last sentence

“he was still only able to doge” -> dodge

I agree that Helian Xingchen is incredibly petty, doesn’t know set backs and can’t see when he is not on the same level as another who is stronger than him. Even if the other had less power before, being stupidly arrogant with what you have can be a downfall. It’s fine to be arrogant, but you have to be smart and not blind to reality.
