  1. Ahhh so good! Time for the face slapping to begin!

  2. Prepare for massive face slapping. The time has come for all other young masters to bow down!

  3. Woohoo! Time to show off your skills!

    Thanks for translating!

  4. Alright!!! This has started moving again! Time to see our protagonists (start to) shine! ^_^ Thanks for the new chapter!

    Translation notes:

"Tianheng, you really frightened papa." –> I'd suggest going with "your father" here than "papa". GYTH is really formal with his family, and it's a big contrast later on to how informal GZ is with his adopted parents.

"some day you will have to treat him like your flesh-and-blood little brother" –> "from now on you will…"

"Gongyi Tianheng’s meaningful look clearly carried an expectation to encourage this deception." –> "GYTH's look carried expectation, and a hint of persuasion." (Literal translation of 诱哄 is "seduction", lol, but they're not there yet.)

"After receiving this look for a second, Gu Zuo continued to bear it." –> "…GZ could not bear it anymore."

"These people didn’t threaten Tianheng in the least." –> "This kind of person didn't threaten…" (They're talking about GZ is a harmless bunny to let into the family here.)

Re Footnote 2 and some the parts after it: "嫡" is a term that refers to the legitimate bloodline. Eg. "嫡子/嫡女" refers to the son/daughter by the legitimate wife in polygamist households. And "嫡支/嫡系" refers to the main branch(es) of a large clan, as opposed to "分支"/cadet branch(es). There was a brief overview back in chapter 17, and there will later be a clarification in chapter 439, but the 公仪 clan has 12 main branches and 52 cadet branches. The clan manor in the capital houses all the main family people, so everyone at this meeting are the elders/representatives of these main branches.

So like: "Among the council’s cadet branches, there were many brilliant youths." –> More like "Among their other main branches, there were…"

  5. Now the fun will begin (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

  6. Welcome back! Thanks for this update.
    Incredible translation as always.
We reached book two already? Wow.
I really can't wait to see our dear patron shut up all those arrogant sidekicks with his power!

  7. Thanks for the chapter. Wonderful translation as always. Could you perhap enable Follow by Email?

  8. Eaaahhhh the ML and the MC so so so so OP already 😂

  9. Pfft! Haha. The MC can’t handle the ML’s puppy dog eyes. Gleeeeee!

  10. I wonder.. if that big brother title will change soon.. like perhaps, big dadd- ( ‘д‘⊂彡☆))Д´)

  11. My dearest Tetra, here I am, back in
the pit and I brought a bunch of questions. Are you ready? 😀

I’d like to ask you to please explain
the meaning of a certain discussion between those siblings.

Because even after having read this
countless times over the past 4-5 years, I still don’t get it.

    It starts with the part:

    Tianheng faintly smiled: „Get
    rid of the last word?“

    I understand that MC’s „Tianheng
    gege“
changed to „Da ge“ without ML’s name.

So here’s no problem, but when Tianyang
called MC „Big Bro Zuo“, ML told him to „switch it
    around, Yang’er.“

And Tianyang addressed MC as „Big
    Bro Ah Zuo“
. This is the part I don’t understand. Where’s the
connection between „Big Bro Zuo“, „switch it around“ and
adding the „Ah“ to MC’s name?

    I mean, the „Ah Zuo“ or „Heng’er“
is a form of endearment, I know this, but I just simply don’t
    understand what happened.

Could you please explain this to me, so
    I can stop feeling stupid?

Aside from that I found something else
that doesn’t make sense to me, so maybe you want to take another look
    at this.

A few paragraphs later, Tianteng joined
in the fun and hugged MC’s „lower leg“.

Reading the term „lower leg“, I
always thought it should be the shin, but that can’t be right because
even a 3 years old toddler should already be about the height of one
meter. So… what exactly is Tianteng hugging? Simply Ah Zuo’s leg?
Or is author-sama just once again displaying their ability to mess up
sizes? (Since later there are some instances where I’m constantly
wondering how certain creatures are even able to reach the size of
dinosaurs while still being used as „pets“)

    Next thing: „Gu Zuo’s thoughts
nearly showed on his face, but to them it couldn’t be easier to see
    through.“

I’m finding myself being confused with
    this sentence.

From the context of this sentence
alone, it suggests that MC „hides his thoughts“ but the family is
still able to see through it.

But the fact is, that we have been told
many times that our dear Ah Zuo is completely unable to prevent his
thoughts from showing on his face, as ML is able to read his wife
like an open book. So, is there a typo here and it should have been
„Even if Gu Zuo’s thoughts weren’t openly displayed on his face, to
them it couldn’t have been easier to see through.“ ?

    Hey hey, there’s a „head“ missing!!
    Here:„Otherwise, once this clan finds out…“ <– I’m
quite sure he’s talking about himself and not the clan in general, so
there should be a „head“ added, correct?

    • Hello again! It certainly has been a long time.

For your questions, I have gone back to edit things to better reflect the raws. I hope those parts are easier to understand now! ^^

(For Tianteng hugging Gu Zuo’s leg, it really is his calf, so no changes over there.)

      • Well, it has been ages since I commented on your chapters, but at least I’ve bothered you five hours ago on discord 😛

        obediently reads the chapter again

Well, I still don’t get the part with Tianyang’s greeting, is it just to let him use a “closer” way of calling his name by using the endearment? Hm..

Oho, you did great Tetra 😀

Huh, you’re almost halfway done already.. Awesome, hang in there!!!

Thank you for your hard work as always. Now I just need to catch up the 200 stockpiled chapters….

          • Ohh.. This kitten is finally enlightened! Thank you Tetra 😀

And as for the binge reading and enjoying it… we’re talking about IHM! How can anyone NOT enjoy it. Much less with such a perfect translation quality?

sends a ton of cookies to the hardworking Tetra

still, the one to be thanked has to be you, you’re the one who works hard all the time. I’m just running around, selling meng and annoying… erm I mean supporting you 😀

            runs away to continue reading
