  1. Thanks for the new chapter!! And so our heroes take the first step in revolutionizing the pharmacist industry of Cangyun Empire, though the power of…capitalism? Maybe not. LOL.

    Translation notes:

    – Fun fact regarding the chapter title: The word "苍" as a color can mean "dark blue" or "pale grey". I've seen "苍龙" commonly translated to "Black Dragon" and "Azure Dragon" by various dictionaries. Tangentially, the color "青" as in "青龙" can also translate to "green", "blue", or "black". Cultural differences in "color" as a concept and actual recognized colors is a fascinating thing to read about.

    – "As for those who may have a stroke of bad luck, we have nothing to do with them " / "至于那些人是不是要去触霉头" –> This is actually more "As for those who want to push their luck…etc." Basically she's saying that if people who can't afford to buy those 10x pills at the auction decides to be dumb and try to look into the mysterious pharmacist, they can take advantage of that by offering to protect the pharmacist.

    – RE footnote 2. The term "XX王" is a rank of nobility for males within the imperial family, typically the highest rank under the emperor. You can lookup the wiki entry on Qing Dynasty ranks, or at translated works like "Eight Treasures Trousseau"/"To Be A Virtuous Wife" for some research into how it's used in stories. Converted to western noble ranks (the British system), it usually gets translated to "Prince of XX". The literal translation of "并肩" is "beside" or "abreast", indicating that this is a first among equals even within that rank. I guess you can translate this title either just to "Prince Binjan" and leave a footnote, or something like "The Equal Prince".

"after the thirteenth" / "再过十三日" –> Should be: "after thirteen days".

  2. Fave shounen ai novel. Excellent translation quality and just the right pacing. Thanks translator-sama!

  3. Yay! I’m loving this more and more!! <3 Thanks for translating!!

  4. Dear Tetractys, I would like to ask a question, while I’m currently re-reading this novel.

Thinking about the top grade pills would produce top grade pills, and
thinking about mid to high grade pills would produce mid to high grade
pills. <– what exactly do you or the author want to explain in this sentence? pills produce pills? how? normally I would think it should be “herbs produce pills”, but as of now there wasn’t anything mentioned about the different grades of herbs.. so here I am, confused about this statement. If possible, please enlighten me 🙂

    • I’ll probably have to tweak the wording there. The author meant that the action of “thinking” about it would cause it to occur.

I think I wrote a similar phrase back when GZ was learning about using the fire controlling seal: Think big, and the flame would enlargen. Think small, and the flame would shrink.

Same principle here. Refining a certain grade of pills would be as effortless as “thinking” about it.

      • Ah!! I get it. I remember that phrase. It should be somewhere around the last 5 chapters. Thank you so much for explaining, Tetractys! And once again thank you for being awesome, I really love this novel and your translation of it. You’re doing great!
