    Some translation notes:

    "it was best to directly nip things in the bud from the very beginning." –> Better translates as something like "it was better to take out the part in the beginning". As in, when GZ is telling his story, he's just conveniently leaving out the bit in the very beginning where he's coming from a different world.

    Re footnote 1 –> Better as "Under that careful selection, that led to my impolite behavior to you that time." (As in, y'know, holding GYTH at knife point to get a job.) "不敬之举" literally translates as impolite (不敬) actions (举).

    "He hesitated for a bit, thinking whether or not the system wanted him to inform his patron." –> This part is more like "He hesitated a bit, thinking whether he wanted to reveal the system's original plans." Remember, the system originally offered the slave contract to use on GYTH.

    Right after that, "Although he said that he didn’t have any methods of turning other people into slaves" is more appropriately "Although he didn't have any intentions/thoughts/plans of turning people into slaves…" He didn't choose to the method anyways, after all.

    Right after footnote 2, "According to reason, he should also seek the right things to some extent." –> better as "According to reason, it should have something it is seeking." GZ is referring to the system in this entire sentence. It's giving away so much, that it makes more sense to him that there's some unknown goal the system is seeking after in the end.

  21. This is truly a first, I’ve never read a story with an MC getting help to understand his system. It’s kinda cool, because the MC is young and is more of a follower. Which is an original setting.
