Translator's Note

天骄 – Tian jiao, short for 天之骄子, which means heaven’s favored, or gifted.

  1. Thanks for the chapter. Really appreciate the hard work.

  2. New chapter! Thanks for all your hard work!

Re the line "Of course, what he didn’t know was that if his methods for refining medicine didn’t shock him several times over, in short, he absolutely wouldn’t deign to speak to him…" — again there is a mix of some of the "he"/"him" is referring to GZ and some of teh "he"/"him" is referring to DO in the same sentence, so you might want to throw some names in there to avoid confusion.

Re footnote 1 — "天骄" is a term that's going to be used a lot in later chapters. From arc 4 onwards, it seems to be used as a proper noun altogether to refer to the top tier of martial cultivators per generation. It's a shortening of "天之骄子", which more literally translates as "heaven's favored" or "child of fortune". I couldn't find any simple English terms for it though… stuff like "prodigy", "ace", "virtuoso", "champion", etc. don't quite match. shrug

  3. Gongyi Tianheng… wants to fight?? Can he fight? I wonder what's going to happen next chapter.

    Thanks for translating!

  4. Gotta believe in the ML~~ at worst he'll just lose, he won't die..? Hehe thanks for the chapter~

  7. TRANSLATION FIX SUGGESTION/Q: I just read the mtl raw for this chapter and noticed the author used “human-level gongfa, <<Scarlet Yang Seal>>” for “human-level cultivation methods, <<Scarlet Yang Seal>>” part. Is there a different meaning between translations? If there is, would the translated term ‘cultivation methods’ all be ‘gongfa’ for later chapters? Or is it my misunderstanding? What is the difference between ‘cultivation methods 心法 ‘ and ‘gongfa 功法’…. I looked up the raw of this chapter compared with IHM chapter 95 and IHM chapter 110 concerning these terms, translated and raw ..
    • 心法 and 功法 both mean cultivation method. However, the first usually applies to internal or meditative practices, while the latter refers to physical or combat-related practices. For example, Gu Zuo’s Divine Medicine Cultivation Method uses the 心法.

      • So how does 心法 and 功法 apply to a martial artist’s cultivation progress and his/her realm advancement? (Since Gu Zuo can only use 心法…and from the raw when Gongyi Tianheng began cultivation, is said he made his own 功法 cultivation method but no 心法….confused….) Also, I read the last 200 chapters of the raw and noticed there was another realm after Greater Emperor realm that was described in the terms page, will that be added too?

        • Any cultivation method is meant for training the individual for advancement. A person doesn’t need both a 心法 and 功法. It’s all relative; no need to think too deeply about it. 🙂

As for the realms after Greater Emperor, I avoid reading too far ahead, which would distract me from translating the current chapters and revising the old chapters. However, I’m sure it’ll be added eventually.

  8. The book keeps telling us that GYTH is able to stand upright with the other four young masters from other great claims because he is smart. But…till now we still don’t exactly know how GYTH used his smartness to achieve that. Almost nobody mocks him (at least openly), did GYTH once medicine or machines or solve disasters to gain such a good reputation? We still don’t know why! Am I too impatient?
