Synopsis

The tavern owner’s son, Ilya, often experienced the same dream. A dream in which he played in the village orphanage with his childhood friend, a boy whose appearance resembled an angel’s. A dream where he made soap with olives and soup with leftover vegetables. But the moment Ilya laid eyes on the picture of the “Icy Hero,” he realized that those dreams weren’t dreams at all; rather those were the memories of his past life. Most importantly, that “Icy Hero,” Riley, wasn’t angelic anymore?!

  1. Really looking forward to your translations, Mii.

I’m not supposed to give out any spoilers so all I’m gonna say is: Riley is TOO damn cute!!!

P.S. I promised that I wouldn’t just lurk anymore and would start commenting, so here you go!

  2. Hello!

I want to ask you if you don’t mind, i want to translate this novel into my language, Indonesia.

through this translation of yours if you don’t mind, can i do it?

    I’m waiting for your reply.

Thank you for taking this novel

    Fight!

    • There are 6 chapters of the extra 🙂 I believe there are other extra side stories you can read by buying the published version. Even so, I won’t translate them to encourage readers to support the author. I’m not quite sure what you mean with ‘buying’, but if you’re refering to the published version, you can only buy the whole book.

        • I will translate all of the 6 free extras! I mean I won’t translate the ones you can only read in the published version;; As long as the author makes it free to access, then I’ll definitely translate all of them!^^ And thank you for the kind thoughts! I’m really grateful for the support:3

  3. Is this series easy to MTL, I’ve never MTL’ed any series before, neither am I knowledgeable in JAP. I have no problem supporting the author but if I can read it or not is a concern of mine.

    • Hello! I don’t really use MTL so I’m not very sure what is the ‘passable’ level, but most of my friends say that MTL-ing Japanese is a nightmare;; Even so, this author doesn’t really use fancy words and idioms! Maybe you can try MTL-ing the translated chapters in syosetu to see if you can understand it well? 😀

      • May I inquire on how you’ve been/have learned the language? I’ve been interested in personally learning the language for awhile now but honestly kanji dissuades me. I’m unconfident in myself because the kanji looks intimidating.

        • My journey in learning this language is a bit complicated… A lot of youthful emotions (?) are involved in my study. I really hate losing when I was still a childish high school student, and my seatmate is those super genius guy who excelled in study… It was a matter of pride for me at that time. XD

I’ll just say that you shouldn’t fear the language. Try learning it with a method you like. I like reading. I used to read raw BL manga even if I didn’t understand the kanji at that time. I didn’t care since I was only reading for the smut anyway. But I started picking up some words. Then I picked up more and more words. Before I know it, I can read manga and novel smoothly now. I like listening to Japanese idols. I started watching their MVs. They usually have the Japanese lyrics in the video. I was too lazy to open a new tab, so I sang the line I could read. Then I could sing more and more lines. Before I know it, I can sing the whole song without looking at the romaji and read the YouTube comments to fangirl together with Japanese people.

It’s normal to not understand anything at first. Just do it on your own pace. Take class if it helps. Find a target to make sure you won’t slack off. For me, memorizing tons of vocabulary doesn’t help me at all, but it might work for you. Try to explore! What’s important is having fun, and you’ll naturally master the language! 🙂

  4. Hello! I read a little bit of this novel and it got my attention right away. So, I was wondering if I could have you permission to do a spanish translation of this novel? 😊

Thank you for your hard work!

  5. Hi!

Good afternoon, I hope I do not disturb, I would like to ask your permission to use your English translation of “The icy hero is yearning for love” to re-translate this story into Spanish in my Wattpad account, I will not only copy and paste, but I will try to make a translation as readable as I can. I promise to give the corresponding credits. I hope you can answer me. Thank you.
