  9. Thanks for the chapter! Welcome Tintin! Some Chinese apartments I’ve seen actually plan for the fridge down the hall. My apartment has that, probably because it’s smaller, but I’ve seen large Chinese apartments with some really weird room designs and weird use of space. No one’s ever really been able to explain it to me…

  15. Maybe the house have 2 kitchen, a wet and dry kitchen. Its pretty common here in Malaysia not sure about other countries though. A wet kitchen is use for cooking, while dry kitchen has your refrigerator and mostly use for baking or making light snacks

    • It’s just kind of expression unique to chinese and several languages that had close relation with chinese. It did not have particular meaning by itself, just using it at the end of the sentences emphasize more on the emotion. Sometimes it made the sentences that was being delivered in a more lighter feeling. It depends on the context.
