This damn bastard drives me crazy as him! Damn it! I know he is a bastard but his feelings are really real to JZS! He is madly obsessed and crazily wants to posses JZS! In a normal BL, even with a drama mixed, this type of story where ML is madly obsessed and crazily wants to possess the kuudere abused at the start MC can end with HE. However, ZYC’s childish as an infant mind and tightly closed glued brain just have to be in the way!!!!!! This ZYC is the most doting when it comes to JZS’s welfare yet a braindead when it comes to JZS’s feelings!!!
I already expected ZYC to jump into that fire knowing his real feelings to JZS, but when he really did i felt torn. Really torn since even if he truly loves JZS he is still a bastard through his bones.
ZYC may be a slave in love with JZS in his heart but he is the king of pride to JZS in his mind. *sigh damn it. This could end in HE yet i can see this ends in BE.
TBH I don’t see how ZYC is doting when it comes to JZS’s welfare at all. The most he does is fly off the handle when someone is hurting or disregarding his possession in front of him, or trying to take it away; it’s not something he’s doing for JZS, but for himself. And of course he’s been beating JZS like a tin drum all this time (did you see how he kept restraining himself from hitting JZS in this chapter? Do you think he’d have bothered to do that if he weren’t trying to persuade JZS to come back to him?).
I’m not gonna say he’s pure evil either, but the kind of heavy duty rehabilitation/training he needs to not be a complete shithead is not the kind of thing you sign up to do for free or even out of love, and it’s certainly not something you sign up to do while technically his subordinate in any way. I do believe people can change, I just don’t think they can change as much as you might prefer them to, and your control over whether they can or will change is nonexistent. In the meantime, they’d still be stepping on you, and the reason behind why can be literally anything, but it doesn’t change the fact that they’re hurting you, you know? Obviously this is uh, leaning reallll hard into the realism and away from the BL/romance/trope factor, but still.
