The leopard put both paws by the bed and watched him, its eyes like two deep, bright gems, sparkling with a warm luster.
Chi Xiaochi asked, “Don’t you want to go to sleep?”
The leopard placed its head gently on his stomach.
Chi Xiaochi laughed.
He stroked the sleek and glossy fur, pulling out another dream control card from the storehouse and placing it into the slot.
He’d have Gu Xinzhi dream again so that he would understand what reality was.

He doesn’t even know what had he done wrong cause I think he is lacking emotionality and empathy towards any other person than Qiuyun because of how his childhood was too )

I’ll be honest even I feel a little bad but I’ve always learnt one thing, a traumatic past or any flaws with your personality does not give you the right to hurt another person. You can feel bad for him, we all do I’d say but it’ll never justify his actions and he does have to bear the consequences no matter how sad it may be. Like CXC said in Xiao ji’s arc the scum gongs all have some good things about them, but we only sympathize because we’re seeing it from an ominescent perspective and not human.
