When he came, everyone had been full of hope. Meng Qian had blabbered on nonstop about how it was finally going to be over. Qiao Yun had been chatting with Jia Siyuan about how after they got out, she was going to use up half of her savings to buy clothes and cosmetics as a reward to herself. He had been utterly silent as usual.
Xu Jiayi was of course happy that he’d survived, but he’d never once thought, that he would be leaving alone.
He was the solitary type, and wasn’t a friend of any of the three, so he had never told them about having Yin-Yang eyes, only secretly giving them as much guidance as he could.
To be honest, he had really hated Qiao Yun’s selfishness, Meng Qian’s conceitedness, and even occasionally looked down on the submissive Jia Siyuan, but even as he disdained them, he had still brought the three of them from the first level to the final level.
However, only now that he truly had to face their deaths, did Xu Jiayi find: He wasn’t completely cold-hearted.
He turned to look at Chi Xiaochi, and then next to him, Gan Yu and Gan Tang, who had gotten through huge difficulties with him, and his heart filled with sorrow.
After a moment of dazedness, Xu Jiayi said to the young man, “No. The people I was going to do this with all had something come up, so they’re not coming.”

I wonder, though. Why would Yuan Benshan be stuck due to radiating no fear energy, when he should have his own System as well? Wouldn’t his own System be able to send out his/her own signal to indicate that his/her host is alive? After all, Xi Lou’s own Lord God came looking for him when he refused to leave after the original Song Chunyang died. 🤔
if im not mistaken, a player can only be transported back if there are signs of them having negative emotions. if Lord God cant detect any emotion radiating off of an individual then they would be classified either as a ghost or a dead player.
Lord God did look for Xi Lou, and will presumably look for YBS’s system as well. but as arrogant as YBS is, i doubt that he has a good relationship with his system. and i assume getting the host out of the world after them being classified as dead is out of the systems’ ability.

i think the effect is not immediate? they just got out of the world, after all. CXC remembers GQQ because he asked XL to remind him about her everyday, so he doesn’t forget about his scheme. i think GQQ left a particularly deep impression for YBS for him to remember at the end there? the system doesn’t forget i think

Is this a plot hole? It says that Xu Jiayi secretly helped out his weak teammates, but as a person also with the Yin Yang Eyes, wouldn’t they all have faced stages more difficult than the norm? This kind of doesn’t explain why this group of cannon fodder’s mentalities were so weak.
CXC’s original host was obvious about his Yin Yang eyes not wearing contacts, etc. YBS had him hide his ability but not until after he was noticed by the Lord God. After his first task, everything got more difficult. X4 Jiayi was quiet and only helped his partners a little. He wasn’t noticed by his fellow players or Lord God. CXC spotted him with his own Yin Yang eyes…
