    Ummm… If it’s not too much can I ask something? I know the tl is finished so you don’t have to listen to me. It’s just… Why didn’t you just retain the nicknames in pinyin or Chinese? Like Zhuang little dragon could be Zhuang Xiaolong? Little Li as Xiaoli? It sounds better, to me at least. I don’t know if I’m just used to other translators who do that so I am unused to it. Thank you for your time!

      As for your question, it’s mainly because I prefer to have things in English as far as possible. Putting myself in the shoes of readers, I felt like I wouldn’t want to have too many words in pinyin, since more pinyin = more terms to remember. Especially so for this novel where pretty much all the mythological creatures have their names left in pinyin.
