“Xiao Qiu, enjoy your food. Come earlier next time. I’ll pay for you food~”
Yan Qiu watched his broad back and found himself speechless.
His conflict with Chen Gou was extremely complicated. They had fought countless times, but the conflict was still unresolved. But all of a sudden, the problem was gone.
So, it was actually this easy to achieve world peace. He should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize next year.

Yan Qiu and the other four ordered more than ten dishes. Even though they were served on the small plates used by the school canteen, there was quite a lot in each plate.
They had just finished their PE class, so all of them quickly divided the food and finished eating.
While they were on their way back to the school building, Yan Qiu quietly pulled Xie Yu to the side and spoke to him about something he’d been thinking about for a long time.

Based on Xie Yu’s words, the cemetery was at the northern outskirts of town. If they took a taxi over, they would need to travel for around one hour before they arrived.
Yan Qiu looked outside the window. Since he was afraid of scaring the driver, he did his best to lower his voice when he spoke to Xie Yu, “Were you the one who handled my funeral?”

The cemetery was located in a mountain in the outskirts to the north of the city. This region was suitable for anyone to live in. Yan Qiu didn’t see any villages along the way and it made the area look a tad desolate.
Once they paid, Yan Qiu and Xie Yu got off the taxi. Yan Qiu used his hand to cover his eyes.
The sun during the afternoon was incredibly hot. It was so bright that he found himself a bit dazed, so much so that he didn’t find the idea of checking out his own grave at the cemetery to be that terrifying.
They walked through the gate of the cemetery and walked up the winding path. They occasionally ran into a few people with black umbrellas over their heads.
Once they walked down a slope through a small trail, they found a large area of black graves arranged neatly in front of them. They looked as if they had been copy pasted, because all of them were practically the same.
The gap between the graves was a little narrow. Yan Qiu carefully maneuvered his way through, worried that he would kick the pots in front of someone else’s grave. He searched for his grave based on the numbers.
He stopped in front of his own grave.
Yan Qiu’s name was written on the black grave, but there was no picture on it. There was a bouquet of fresh marguerites in front of his grave. They were in full blossom.
Yan Qiu stared at the bouquet quietly and he suddenly found it a little strange.
Once a person died, he would be reduced to the ashes that were stuffed into a small urn before being buried. Then, a cold tombstone would be placed over it and the entire process would be considered done.
All the longing and pain of those remaining would fade away as time passed. One person was now missing from the world, but the bouquet that bloomed in the direction of the sun remained as beautiful as ever.
“Did you place those flowers there?” Yan Qiu looked at the flowers in front of the grave. They were very fresh.
Xie Yu shook his head. “No. But the flowers in the pot next to it are from me.”
Yan Qiu cast a glance at the chrysanthemums placed in the crude-looking pot and found himself speechless.
An old man sat by the side while fanning himself with a thin fan. He had an old straw hat by his feet. He was examining a game on a Go board. By the looks of it, he was the gravekeeper.
When he heard their conversation, the old man said without even looking up, “Someone paid us to place those flowers there. We get the freshest flowers and switch them every morning.”
Yan Qiu frowned in puzzlement. He asked, “May I ask who asked you to place those flowers there?”
The old man continued moving the pieces on his Go board. “The deceased’s relatives, I guess. He comes by every weekend.”
But Yan Qiu did not have any relatives. His curiosity was gnawing at him, yet even if he racked his brains, he hadn’t a clue who it was.
As he stared at the white marguerites, Yan Qiu suddenly thought of an incredibly absurd possibility.
The flowers were the same as the ones in Ji Xinglan’s study.
Could it be… Ji Xinglan?
Yan Qiu frowned.
He remembered that on the day he came back, Ji Xinglan had indeed said that he went to the cemetery to visit his grave.
But no matter how Yan Qiu thought about it, he still resolutely cast that absurd guess behind him.
He and Ji Xinglan weren’t so close to each other that he would keep him in his mind all day long. It would be more accurate to say that Ji Xinglan wanted to hit him.
However, there was no way Yan Qiu could shake off Ji Xinglan during the weekend to come here and wait to see if he could figure just who was putting flowers at his grave, so he could only let this matter slide.

Yan Qiu walked to the spot where Ji Xinglan parked his car and played with his terminal while he leaned against the car door. After waiting for a while, he saw Ji Xinglan walk out.
Ji Xinglan naturally opened the door for Yan Qiu and had him get in.
Yan Qiu sized him up quietly. When he saw that the other shouldn’t have noticed anything abnormal, he felt his heart relax.
The car was filled with the smell of a car air freshener, the speakers playing classical music. Yan Qiu didn’t like listening to it, so he put in his earphones and looked outside the window.
While they were on their way back home, he remembered that he was supposed to stay in school.
He had already delayed this for a week. If he didn’t mention this to Ji Xinglan, Ji Xinglan might forget.
Yet, when Yan Qiu turned his head around and told Ji Xinglan that he wanted to stay in school starting from next week, he could sense that Ji Xinglan didn’t seem very willing to let him do so.
Ji Xinglan frowned. “Isn’t it better staying at home?”
It was impossible for Yan Qiu to stay at the omegas’ dorm, and Ji Xinglan wouldn’t let him stay at the alphas’ dorm.
However, Yan Qiu acted shamelessly and said, “But the house is too far away from the school. I waste too much time getting up so early in the morning and going to school by car. I want to sleep.”

But Yan Qiu was determined to leave. Ji Xinglan’s mansion was too big. He couldn’t get used to it no matter what.
“Then I’ll rent a house beside the school,” Yan Qiu suggested.
Ji Xinglan thought about it and said, “There’s no need for that. I have an apartment over there.”
Yan Qiu looked in the direction that he pointed at, and he saw a high-rise apartment near the school.
Yan Qiu thought happily. ‘I get to save money, then.’
But when he heard Ji Xinglan mention that he wouldn’t want to stay at home either, Yan Qiu’s expression instantly fell.
‘Oh, dear lord. Are you seriously telling me I still can’t escape from cohabiting with Ji Xinglan?’
Ji Xinglan, too, had his own plans.
One, he wanted to let Yan Qiu sleep longer in the morning. Two, he did not want to stay at home either.

When she heard this, Mrs. Ji hummed.
They were both students. Naturally, studying was more important. But it had just been two months since this semester started. School holidays would only arrive next winter.

I was gonna make a comment when this chapter the first time it came out but I forgot. Based on the clues so far I would guess Ji Xinglan was very depressed and I think suicidal before he found Yan Qiu soul again. With the scars and having the family butler constantly watching him and his mother wanting him to stay at home. Even the forced engagement to hopefully bring him out of his depression, before Yan Qiu woke up in the fiancée’s body.
I do love these two and can’t wait til they can be completely truthful to each other.
