The whole room became silent for a while.
Bai Zihua and Wu Mo did not speak, while Bai Ruo remained seated on the single sofa as the background. She lowered her head, focused on scrolling her phone and pretended that she heard nothing.
Bai Xi looked at his parents. He did not understand what this meant.
“Why are neither of you…saying something?” He asked nervously and frightened. “Don’t you two like Qi Xun?”
He could feel his heart thump as soon as he opened his mouth, ready to list all Qi Xun’s good qualities.
But Bai Zihua scratched his head. “I am not dissatisfied…”
There was a subtle expression on his face.

Qi Xun held his phone and did not reply for several seconds.

That’s how it should be. I’m a mom and so often I don’t agree with my child’s choices but I can only watch her and say ok. Because I love her with everything she is. I find it so hard when reading about parents sending their kids to the hospital because of being who they are. As long as they don’t commit a crime or hurt someone or themselves it should always be alright to be themselves.
